Just after Highschool I was not to keen on the idea of doing a study as I was kind of sick of school, learning, teachers and everything that comes along with it and of course I had no idea what to study. So I did a vocational training for 2,5 years. Shortly before I completed it I had practically either the choice to start working for a company or do some studies. I was not to keen on the idea to sit in an office every day for 8-10 hours and do work which not really interlectually challenges me. So I decided to do some studies. In some way I always had interest in Management, Business and Finance so I was looking for an university which would offer all that. But to finally make a choice was still a bit more complicated.
I knew what I wanted to study but I did not know where I want to study. I somehow felt the urge to travel again and get thrown in a new environment. I thought about studying abroad and evaluated the options I had within Europe. My choice was limited though since I wanted to start in Februar (it was already December at this point), I could afford a university with high fees and I wanted to either study in French or English. Finally I found a university in The Netherlands. I applied and shortly after I got accepted. I was positively surprised as this was a realy easy process and I thought I would have more difficulties to get in since my high school grades werent the best. I must say that I was a little blunt in my choice since I did not really checked which courses are offered and how the programms are structured. Anyway, I was happy that I found something so quickly and I was exicted to leave my city and move to The Netherlands. On the other side I already knew that I would miserably miss my friends which I truely loved and had a great time over those 4 years I lived there. After all this was a big step for me because I am a really consequent person, once I start something I finish it. Sometimes it is difficult but at the end you can always say ”I did it”
