Formula 1 Monaco
In a few minutes the Formula One will hit the roads of Monte Carlo. Monaco is the most popular and important race of the Formula 1. It is not only the city circuit which makes this race so special, it is also about the lifestyle represented in this small country. The revenue for Monaco during the days of the race is expected to accumulate to 10 million Euro, which is more than any other Formula 1 race is generating. During the Grand Prix the primary revenue of Monaco and its 30.000 inhabitants are the advertising along the racetrack and the money spend by more than 200.000 visitors during those 4 days. But after all this is not that much considering that the Budget if the Grand Prix is 30 million Euro. A large of that sum is needed to convert the city into a race track. Over 3.000 people, 1.100 tons of steel for the visitor ranks and 900 tons of material for the garages are required to build the 33 km long racetrack „one of the most exicting race tracks in the world“ The future of the prestigous Grand Prix is unknown since Prince Albert II seems to be concerned about the environmental impact of the race. No way!
