How to use the internet to your advantage

Actually my girlfriend got me kind of into bloggin, which is not to long ago. Actually it was last sunday. Anyway I was all enthusiastic and found it really easy to set up an account here on wordpress.com. Though shortly I realised that the options here are quite limited and since I consider myself being a creative person I wanted to move on with the project. I already had an available domain at 1and1 (united internet) so that was not much of a hustle. So I experienced many difficulties while uploading the wordpress.php etc. I dont know whether it was because of my server, my host or whatever it was. I just remember that it was very nerv and time taking to upload the stuff. I tried 4 different FTP programs as well as I was not sure what the error source was. I mean I tried to upload big sound files through my ftp and all this worked fine but the wordpress.php was a pain in the ass. Anyway I got it going, uploaded a few plugins, made minor changes to the stylesheet and I believe the result is ok, considering that I never worked with a blog or stylesheets prior to that day. 3 days of work but I believe every person who is a little bit IT literate or intelligent or maybe even both can do this. 

yeah a had an interview today and got a job offer so congratulate myself with a glas of wine. Don’t know though whether the tasks are exactly what I am looking for. It is the consultancy industry which is not the worst to launch a career or however you want to call it but I would be in charge of a product (reporting tool for banks) and I am not sure yet whether this is something I want to work on….

God damn, I got a IPod from my girlfriend for valentinesday (thanks again baby) and today the headphones broke. Fucking annoying this is. I dont want to turn the IPhone done or anything since I have plenty of friends who own an IPod and havent had any problems at all with it. I guess I just have been unlucky, or maybe not? Anyway, I will go to the shop tomorrow and try to get some new ones. I must say that I generally like Apple and think they make good products. I own a MacBook myself. Always had been sceptical about Apple computers since I always felt that they were overprized, but actually they are not and I got a good deal on it as well. Lets see now about the customer service……

Well this is what some people might have asked themselves when they read about the idea that officials want to ban porn on military bases. According to the soldiers a ban of porn might hurt the moral within the troupe. Even though the department of defense committee reviewing material sold on bases ruled last year that magazines such as Playboy and Penthouse are not pornographic, a „smart“ republican has introduced a legislation that might result in a ban of these magazines on worldwide US bases. Soldiers however, are not very keen on that. If you want to know what the soldiers actually have to say about this ban go here or google it up. 

I say: “Let those soldiers fire on those pin-up girls instead of shooting bullets”

If you are a soldier…….I would be curious to hear about your opinion.

Just a short post on a very interesting article on the suicide of Megan Meier which was covered in the Jan. 21, 2008 edition of The New Yorker. Apparently, a 13 year old girl killed herself after being bullied by a MySpace friend who turned out to be a neighbor of hers. the article covers up the events leading to this tragedy. 

I found myself constantly checking the internet for adult material and I came to the point where I asked myself whether I do need porn? It is a difficult question to answer and it is surely not a Yes or No question. So how often do I search for porn on the internet? Well it depends on a lot of factors and I have not clearly figured out the connections yet. Scientifically proven is that it works great as a stress reliever. I do not want to argue that I am super stressed as a student, besides there other great relaxation methods but I must admit that it comes in „handy“ sometimes. Especially, when you are at home and have the privacy to do it. 

Am I searching for anything in particular or in other words do I have a special fetish? No, I do not. I go plain vanilla most of the time and often randomly open available files. Though I have limits to my own curiosity and respecting under aged peoples sexuality is one of them. Just felt it is necessary to mention that one in particularly but there are many others which either do not turn me on or a ethically not acceptable for me. 

So how often I do watch porn? Well it depends, I would say on average 2-3 times a week and in extreme multiple times a day. I think I have awesome relationship and a sex-life which reflects that very well and yes I am very thankful for that. So why do I still need to watch porn? I honestly do not know. Maybe the pornographic content is just a stimulant. I can go without it and I often do. Porn has become so easily available and consumable through the internet that it has found its way into almost every second computer in this world. And it definitely found its way to mine. I think I always have been a little bit voyeuristic and exhibitionistic. 

Am I concerned about the amount of porn I consume? A little bit, else-wise I would not reflect upon it. On the other side I can differentiate between porn and my own sex-life. Even though sex plays a very important role in my relationship it does not compare to porn in the traditional way. Have you seen a porn movie were you believed that the actor/actress purely do it for the sexual pleasure/excitement? To me it just does not come across natural it mostly looks like hard work and sex is not meant to be work. I enjoy every single time I have sex with my girlfriend and she knows it. She also knows about me watching porn and sometimes we even enjoy it together, but after a few minutes none of us two is interested in the movie anymore. 

Do I need porn? No, but I am happy that is out there. 

Making a woman happy….seems like a difficult task sometimes, but I have just read an interesting article and I think it confirmed what I was thinking about. A woman thinks different and this is not only due to social aspects but also scientifically proven. I mean their brain just works different and this is also why the use one side of their brain (the emotional part) more than men do (they stick more to the rational part). So what does makes a woman happy. You guys might think about status and security provided by the male part. No wrong, well not wrong but not the most important thing. It is EMOTIONAL COMMITMENT! Yeah I said it. So not only pretend that you are interested in how your woman feels but be sincere about it. Talk, talk, talk….I know its annoying sometimes but it seems to be necessary. Talk about your relationship, tell her what you feel for her, ask her how she feels about the relationship and reflect upon it. I give you a tip: „I have been thinking about what you said and I believe ….“ is always a good phrase. It shows your woman that you remembered what she told you, it shows her that you took it serious and thought about and that it matters to you. Don‘t worry it comes all natural after a while and it really keeps a relationship going. Talk, talk, talk ah yes dirty talk is also allowed….

Growing up…its an ongoing process

In a few minutes the Formula One will hit the roads of Monte Carlo. Monaco is the most popular and important race of the Formula 1. It is not only the city circuit which makes this race so special, it is also about the lifestyle represented in this small country. The revenue for Monaco during the days of the race is expected to accumulate to 10 million Euro, which is more than any other Formula 1 race is generating. During the Grand Prix the primary revenue of Monaco and its 30.000 inhabitants are the advertising along the racetrack and the money spend by more than 200.000 visitors during those 4 days. But after all this is not that much considering that the Budget if the Grand Prix is 30 million Euro. A large of that sum is needed to convert the city into a race track. Over 3.000 people, 1.100 tons of steel for the visitor ranks and 900 tons of material for the garages are required to build the 33 km long racetrack „one of the most exicting race tracks in the world“ The future of the prestigous Grand Prix is unknown since Prince Albert II seems to be concerned about the environmental impact of the race. No way!
